Internal Medicine

Acupuncture is an ancient Chinese medical therapy, which works to encourage the body to heal itself. It works on the whole body, as following an acupuncture treatment a variety of substances are released including endorphins, serotonin, and neurotransmitters.  By accessing the body’s innate healing mechanisms via the nervous system, the endocrine system and the circulatory system, acupuncture and Chinese herbs are useful to address a variety of complaints either acute or chronic, as well as general health maintenance.

In order to effectively treat all conditions, I add lifestyle and nutrition counseling to your acupuncture session to support your body’s movement towards optimum health.
