Food is medicine and nutrition is paramount to reaching a higher level of health.  Nutrition is part of the foundation for which your body is able to function.  It is essential for optimal health, and making dietary shifts can have a profound impact on your overall well-being.

 

The beauty of Chinese Medicine is the recognition of the individual. There are no “one size fits all” herbal regiments or diets in TCM. Recommendations are tailored to the individual and I recognize that can differ widely from person to person.

 

My approach is entirely holistic. This means that I aspire to bring you back to a nutrient-rich, whole-foods diet and lifestyle. I make customized dietary guidelines based on your lifestyle, condition and constitution.  It is my goal to provide you with a proper education so you understand WHY these changes are important.  You will receive the support and resources you need to make life long changes, not just a quick temporary shift.

I perform a thorough nutritional analysis during your acupuncture sessions in order to provide you with the most comprehensive treatment plan.  You may also schedule a nutritional consultation if needed.

Fitness

Just like nutrition, your fitness is an essential component in your health and wellness goals. I help to incorporate exercise and movement into your treatment plan, and this too needs to be individualized depending on your symptoms and constitution.

 

I have found that there is an inner athlete in all of us.  It’s just finding that “something” that will hook you.  Once you are hooked, exercise (and nutrition) becomes a non-negotiable.  Group classes can be helpful because you form a community around your fitness routines.  You meet people that share the same passions and you are more inclined to show up.

 

If you like the outdoors, I offer boot camp classes in .  These classes provide a dynamic total body workout designed to improve strength, agility, flexibility, and endurance. The program focuses on strengthening the core muscle groups while providing a full-body workout. By using tools such as resistance bands, body weight and gravity, stairs, hand weights, and natural props, I design a wide variety of fun and exciting workouts that are guaranteed to challenge your body and mind.

 

The small group environment and careful attention to each individual’s needs make Boot Camp an ideal complement to your exercise routine.
